You can have an amazing day every single day of your life. I know this to be true and here is how it can be done. Like anything worthwhile, this does take practice but isn’t it so worth it?
It starts when you first wake up in the morning. As soon as you open your eyes, you have to say to yourself the following words, “Today is going to be an amazing day. I will take on the world and I will have fun with it. I am really going to enjoy today.” As you say these words, smile, and feel the emotions of happiness rush in. Make note that you must feel these emotions as you speak the words. See yourself smiling and feeling happy. Over time, as you make this affirmation, feel free to personalize it or expand upon it, but the key here, is to set the stage for what is going to be an amazing day.
You want to avoid what most people in this world do every morning when they wake up. That is, within a few seconds, they immediately begin to think of all the things that they may have going on- the meetings, the busy schedule, the deal that may not close, their boss, and so on. What happens when we do this? We feel the emotions of stress. Imagine that. We aren’t even out of bed and we are already stressed out! Talk about a horrible way of setting the stage for the day ahead. Instead, these people will get exactly what they think and feel, which is stress, fear, and anxiety. We can avoid all this.
By making positive affirmations first thing in the morning, and by speaking these words and in conjunction feeling the emotion when you say the words, you are setting a more positive course for the day. Here is why it works and why it is so important with doing this first thing in the morning. Your conscious mind is always analyzing, rationalizing, making decisions, etc. Upon going to bed at night, your conscious mind shuts down for a while as your subconscious mind takes over while you sleep. Your subconscious mind is responsible for all of your vital functions. Your heart rate, your breathing, and all of your body functions are handled by the subconscious mind. When morning comes and you begin to wake up, as soon as your eyes open, you are still in that kind of sleepy, groggy state, and this is when you have a small window of time to make an impression on your subconscious mind before the conscious mind takes over and starts analyzing, and thinking about all the things that you might have going on for the day ahead.
It is at this time before the conscious mind takes over that you want to make positive affirmations that you are impressing upon your subconscious mind. You are setting the stage for what will be a positive, happy, amazing day. By saying “today is going to be an amazing day,” and by feeling it, you are planting these thoughts in your mind, like planting seeds into a garden bed. These thoughts later become your reality. You plant negative thoughts, you get negative feelings, and more of the same. You plant positive thoughts, and you get positivity.
Practice this daily, every single morning as soon as you awake. Impress wonderful thoughts and feelings of happiness and positivity on to your subconscious. Over time, you will have programmed your mind so that each and every day is just what you asked for- an amazing day!
