Faith is the complete opposite of fear. Faith is believing without seeing. It is knowing that everything is going to work out just fine even when the current circumstances may indicate otherwise. Faith is seeing yourself accomplishing that goal of yours before it happens. Faith is taking a chance and stepping into the unknown and believing in yourself. Knowing that you will conquer this unknown territory and become wildly successful. Faith is seeing yourself getting to where you want to go, and who you want to become, despite where, and who you are today. Having faith is like someone walking directly through the center of a massive storm with a smile on their face. They somehow know that they will be just fine as they pass through the storm. Faith is believing.
Fear, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of faith. Fear comes from worry and anxiety. These two emotions and negative feelings come from not knowing, or the unknown. If you take on a big challenge or set your sites on accomplishing something that you haven’t done before, you may easily begin to worry about the possibility of not accomplishing this goal. Why? Because you are stepping out of your known, or your comfort zone, and shooting for something that you have not done. With the new turf, comes the thought that you might fall short of your goal. So you begin to worry. You begin to doubt. You second-guess yourself along with your abilities.
Thoughts of fear will keep you down. They will prevent you from taking on new goals and from pushing yourself to accomplish things that you have been dreaming of doing. Fearful thoughts also cause stress, anxiety, keep you up at night, and will show themselves in the body through sickness and disease.
Now lets say you have a big challenge coming up soon. You can choose to spend your thinking and your energy on either faith (positive thoughts), or fear (which are negative thoughts). Either way, the energy costs the same. Positive or negative. Faith or fear. Why not choose faith? Why not kick that little doubting voice of worry and fear to the side and believe that you are going to accomplish this big challenge?
We talked about what a person will get with thoughts of fear. So what will faith get you, if you so choose it? For those who do this, they will begin to see and to feel themselves accomplishing their goal. And they will do just that- accomplish the goal that they set out after. What one sees him or herself doing, and feels themselves doing it, backed by belief, will eventually be made into physical reality. This is a natural law of the mind.
Along their way to that goal, they won’t feel constant worry, anxiety, and all the stress, and so on. Instead, they chose to focus their energy on believing in their abilities to accomplish the task. This results in positive thoughts and energy that flow throughout the body. They experience a very relaxed feeling of contentment. They feel confident and know that somehow, someway, they are going to make it! They simply believed in themselves. They saw themselves accomplishing the goal before it happened and they felt that feeling of accomplishment and victory before they had it. They had faith!
Now compare and contrast the two. Faith versus fear. If you want to get to the top, you must believe you can. You can do anything you believe in. You can do anything that you set your mind on. Fear and worry just hold you back and give you a lot of sleepless nights and provide the exact same results that you have always been getting. Rid your mind of fear. Choose faith and climb to the top.
-Enjoy!
